Mark has no solid relationships in Series 6, although he is shown to be casually dating Dobby. Jeremy and Elena have a relationship throughout most of Series 6, but it ends in the last episode. She is shown to have a cordial, friendly relationship with the pending birth of a future Corrigan in the air. Sophie is a prominent character in Series 6, but she is shown in a more neutral way, compared to the favorable way she is shown in Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3, and contrasting with the negative way she is portrayed in Series 4 and Series 5. In the series 3 episode Sistering, she had been cast in a stage version of the other Crash (1996) by David Cronenberg.The fifth series focuses mostly on on Mark and Sophie preparing for the birth of their baby, and Jeremy's illicit relationship with Elena. Johnson socks Jeremy in the stomach and walks away. Jeremy, recently snuck out of Gail and Elena's flat, is walking down the hall, half-naked as Johnson leaves Mark. As Mark hands over the cash, Johnson sees that Suze is in the apartment and is once again disgusted at the apparent conspiracy against him. Johnson has tracked down Mark at the flat in order to celebrate the new partnership with Sales Direct and to backtrack on his rejection in favor of the £2k seed money. Mark is naturally left to defend Jeremy's integrity in his stead. Suze then later shows up to the flat, upset with Johnson's treatment of her and wanting to talk to Jeremy. ![]() Before shutting the door however, Jeremy confronts Elena as to whether or not she loves him. One day while the two are about to get at it in the bedroom, Gail comes home and Elena forces Jeremy onto the balcony. Jeremy continues his affair with Elena, which turns out to be problematic as Gail seems to be getting closer and closer to finding out. All the while, Gail is unimpressed with Mark's inattentive server style and attitude. Johnson, disgusted that his partner is working at a Mexican restaurant, rebuffs Mark and indicates that he no longer wants to work with him. To his horror, Johnson and the team from Sales Direct ( Colin and Naz) have booked a dinner at Banditos to discuss their partnership. Gail owns a Mexican restaurant and offers to hire Mark. He enjoys sneaking into her room and hiding from Gail. Now, Jeremy no longer cares that he is sharing her, because it's "hot". Cornered, Elena unloads the news on Jeremy, who is upset until he realizes that Elena's partner, Gail is a woman. Mark later goes back to the flat and is upset that Elena has not told Jeremy of her situation. Johnson is creating a startup needing about £2k of seed money and Mark agrees to fund the venture. Mark later goes to see Johnson, whose live-in relationship with Big Suze in his recession-friendly abode is crumbling. Mark tells Elena that she must tell Jeremy and her contention is that it would be easier for her if he told him. It is immediately apparent that her relationship with Jeremy is an affair, which Mark is now aware of while Jeremy is not. Walking back to the apartment, Mark overhears Elena on the phone with someone who she refers to as her "long distance partner". ![]()
